The olive oil commercial company was founded by Dionysios Pomonis-Kanonikas in 1958, and from 1994 to the present day the driving force behind the business has been his son, Nikolaos Pomonis-Kanonikas, through the company now known as Trading Oil.

The business of the company consists, first of all, of the collection of olive oil from producers, olive pressing facilities, as well as agricultural cooperatives. Quality control testing is then carried out according to Greek and European regulations, and lastly, the company undertakes commercial trading of olive oil within Greece and abroad.

However, the process does not end here. Quality control continues through chemical analyses by laboratories specializing in olive oil, which carry out the full range of tests to ensure that highest quality standards are maintained. 

An important contribution to this is made by our storage facilities. The olive oil is stored in stainless steel tanks which meet certified standards of food health and safety, and ensure ideal conditions for protection, preservation and maintenance of the correct temperatures for this precious product.

The final stage of the above process is the exporting of the olive oil, mainly to Italy, for use by large standardized blending companies which expect the highest quality requirements to be met.    Transportation is carried out in liquid bulk form by inox steel tanker trucks especially designed for international transportation of food products.
